6 Month Check-up

Avery goes in for her 6 month check up

6 MONTH CHECK UP! Yes...it has been 6 months since Avery came upon the scene. It's HARD! WOW! Raising a kid is harder than any 9-5 job I've ever had. She is a lot of fun though. We have both been learning a lot. Once the 4 month mark hit, there was something new every day! We had a week of, "catch that baby!" When she started rolling it was on! No more leaving her alone on the couch or bed while you stepped away to do something. She can roll over both ways, sit up and play with things, hold her own bottle and reach for things she wants. She even laughs and talks to the dogs. My favorite time is going in to greet her when she wakes up. She gets the biggest smile! :) It makes me laugh every time. She got her 2 front bottom teeth last week and I am SO glad that I am not breastfeeding! I can't imagine all those mothers that had to endure teeth during feeding! YEOUCH! Mr. Efficient and I are learning a lot about each other too. He is my rock but don't count on him to wake up in the middle of the night. (It's okay. He does a lot of other amazing things.) Avery likes to meet people and smile at them. We just started baby food last week. Every 3 days we introduce a new food; carrots, sweet potatoes, peas and squash so far. She wasn't a fan of the texture of the peas. LOL. We have had lots of sleepless days and nights and some pretty bad blowouts that took her straight to the bathtub, but all in all...she is one precious little baby and this has been a crazy 6 months! CA-RAZY! Thanks to all that have helped us with advice and clothing and help along the way. It takes a village. :)
