A Woman is Suing a Fancy Miami Hotel, Because Prostitutes There Thought She Was a Rival and Beat Her Up!

Back in January, 34-year-old Anna Burgese of Medford, New Jersey and her husband, 50-year-old Joseph Burgese, were staying at the W Hotel in South Miami.

The Burgeses stay there a lot, and apparently, there are always PROSTITUTES hanging around the hotel bar looking for rich guys to pick up. But that never really bothered them until their most recent trip.

On January 19th, Anna was walking through the bar on the way to her room. Joseph was on crutches, so he wasn't right by her side. And apparently, the 10 or so prostitutes at the bar mistook Anna for a prostitute...and their COMPETITION.

She says that out of nowhere, the prostitutes ATTACKED her. They grabbed her, threw her into a wall, and threw her to the ground. Joseph tried to fight them off with his crutches until help came.

Now the Burgeses are suing Starwood Hotels and Resorts, which owns the W, claiming the hotel, quote, "fosters a prostitute-friendly environment where prostitutes are permitted to market themselves on premises."

So far, the police have made no arrests and the W hasn't turned over surveillance footage. The lawsuit is seeking an undisclosed amount.
