Event Description:

The 55th Annual Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade Presented by Bellco begins at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11.  Parade begins at the corner of 19th and Wynkoop, turns left on 17th Street to Blake St. then marches east on Blake and ends at 27th and Blake at the Coors Field parking lot.  For information on parking, the route map, and more visit

This year’s theme, Emerald Celebration, pays tribute to the 55 consecutive years that this parade has been put on by the all-volunteer Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.  The Parade consists of more than 10,000 marchers and 200 entrants including pipe bands; step dancers; floats; police, fire and emergency service agencies; military members; equestrians; charities; marching bands; businesses and our city’s dignitaries.

This year’s Grand Marshal is James M. Lyons

James M. Lyons, is an honorary Consul for Ireland in Denver as well as a trial lawyer. In 1997, Mr. Lyons was appointed as Special Advisor to the President of the United States and Secretary of State for Economic Initiatives in Northern Ireland and the border counties of the Republic of Ireland. He was responsible for numerous economic initiatives in support of the peace process, including Aspire Micro Loans for Business, the first micro-enterprise loan fund in western Europe.

The 2017 Queen Colleen, is Denver Native Ms. Laura Farley .
Laura is a past champion Irish step dancer who has a strong passion for volunteering and is representing her Irish heritage with pride. Queen Colleen refers to an Irish maiden whose character reflects compassion, kindness, intellect, social responsibility and of course, her Irish heritage.
