5/19 - Brews for Barks
On Sunday, May 19th, 2013 Lindsay Molloy, Volunteer and Events Coordinator for Brews for Barks joined host Kathie J to talk about their upcoming event. Brews for Barks reunites our military with the pups they love. Brews for Barks is the fundraising event for The Puppy Rescue Mission. Since it began, it has brought over 400 dogs home to their soldiers/owners/friends. Some of the soldiers have had these dogs as companions for the whole 4 years that they were serving in the war zones. To leave them can cause more stress to the soldier and subject the animal to dangerous and cruel conditions. Brews for Barks will be at The City Park Pavilion on June 7th. They are hoping to raise $16,000. Please click here to see pictures of reunited soldiers and pups and to purchase tickets. You can also go to www.thepuppyrescuemission.org to donate any time.
